The Rosey would like to make a registry of characters pre-approved to be meddled with during server events or happenings related to the campaign. By default, game masters will not meddle with your characters (to any degree greater than regular participants not on the list) unless they are on this list. This only applies for the time period in which the campaign is active.
By meddle, we mean that the character(s) on the list may experience additional things, be used as part of the plotline of the event, or otherwise subject to dangers (or rewards...?) to which characters not on the list are not subject.
By pre-consenting, you agree to subject your character to the respective risk of harm which you select. Rosey do not have to announce it to you beforehand, and because it might occur during a happening, you might or might not get much if any IC warning either.
Even if you consent, a good Rosey would not just /harm/ your character, but instead would put your character in a risk of harm, depending on the actions your character takes.
If you consent to have your character harmed without a way for your character to avoid it (a stalactite falls on your character's head, an antagonist sneaks up behind your character and stabs them, or other actions that do not allow your character to respond) please specify your preferred classification, then contact me in a private conversation. It would be no fun if everybody around you knows your character is about to die, so let's keep it secret eh?
What Could Happen:
In a dangerous environment, the Rosey may choose to put your character in ADDITIONAL risk of danger than characters not on the list (by default, all characters may be in SOME risk... more on that later)
An antagonist might target your character specifically
A protagonist might ask your character for help completing a difficult and dangerous task
A happening (more on this coming too), or an unannounced occurrence, might closely involve your character or put your character at risk. Not saying this is going to happen, but one hypothetical might be that an earthquake rattles the region in which your character is present. If you pre-consent, your character would be at risk of injury, depending on the actions taken. If you don't consent (beforehand or otherwise), your character would be safe.
Why You Should Do This:
Quite simply, the benefit to you is that things could happen to your character that might not normally happen. These things could be fantastically awesome, terrifyingly appalling, or anywhere in between! There may or may not be rewards attached to the risk...
Classifications:
The Rosey needs to know whether your characters can take damage. This will help us determine which characters can be used for what parts of the campaign. The different levels of consent specify how risky a situation to which your character can participate. These classifications trump the event's general classification.
Peaceful: The Rosey may use your character, but the character may not be harmed any more than characters not on the list. There is no guarantee that the event team will use your character. You might find that there are rewards attached to being a peaceful volunteer.
Semi-Harmful: The Rosey may use your character, and the character may or may not sustain some harm. This could mean anywhere up to serious bodily harm, but not death. There is no guarantee that the Rosey will use your character. You might find that there are slightly better chances of rewards attached to consenting to some degree of harm.
Fully-Harmful: The Rosey has permission to put your character in any degree of risk, including death. Revival depends on the revival rules, so your character may or may not come back. There is no guarantee that the Rosey will use your character. You might find greater rewards attached to greater risk.
Permanent: This is the same as fully-harmful, except that if your character dies it is permanently dead with no chance of revival. There is no guarantee that the Rosey will use your character.
