Your side of the story: I was the xenobiologist for a shift and learned catgirls has once again suddenly appeared out of nowhere, but this time they were armed and dangerous, and a battle had occurred. When I joined it was way after the fact, but I had some dead catgirls brought to xenobiology to be examined in the hopes of maybe figuring out why they seem to just teleport into our base and wander around aimlessly all the time. The intent of this was to just have a lighthearted roleplay poking fun at some aspects of vore, for example, i opened their chest to just find a hollow chamber 'to hold prey'. It was all meant to just be silly and lighthearted after a big shitshow of a battle, that's all it was. During the examination, Leigh ?Knappenberger? (forgive my misspelling of names during this) kept asking to eat the catgirl bodies while we were still testing on them, leading to repeated 'no's from me and the RD. They never stopped asking, and so I requested an injunction placed on them to keep her out of the lab at least until we were done with the experiments. That's it, just until we were done, after that I didn't care what happened. Another injunction was placed on a science assistant named Aubrey something who kept making slimes that kept getting loose and almost killing us while we were testing. These were both just so we could have our fun without people interrupting then surprise surprise some command secretary shows up claiming to be a representative for the catgirls. By this point me and Tachika were getting pretty annoyed with the interruptions, pointed out that they lacked any paperwork at all to be interfering and repeatedly asked them to leave which they refused. Security was called, and they were about to be escorted out before making the remark that they 'just wanted to make sure the catgirls were safe'. Now, since Jesse was already going to vent the cells to wipe the catgirls so it could be used for xenobio work again, she did so in front of the annoying secretary as just a quick 'fuck you' for bothering her. Yes, she did throw a lighter in too but that was just for dramatic effect, I had no idea it could spread through disposals and I already apologized for it in LOOC. After that, the second catgirl attack happened and people died while said secretary taunted us over comms, and after that, I was brought in for questioning and reprimanded by Tachika for poor behavior afterward, especially since he actually wanted to do more tests on the catgirls. Jesse was let off with a warning to never pull a stunt like that ever again, Jesse explained that yes she stepped out of line and yes she was going through therapy to help her anger management and that was the first incident in a MONTH, then we went our separate ways figuring it was done and over with. Jesse killed test subjects early, Jesse got in trouble, everyone made up just fine. Next thing I know I'm getting bwoinked and given a job ban because I 'gassed some catgirls' because 'i thought it was funny'. That was NOT the only reason I gave for my actions at all, I explained that Jesse was just disposing of subjects like she would any other shift (minus the fire) and that I added the FIRE because 'I thought that would be funny, and it wasn't, I'm sorry for doing that'. That's all it was, an attempt to act out ridiculously during a situation that was already going to happen anyway just so we could just all have a laugh after a bunch of annoyances. I was trying to just cool things off with comedy, and it backfired. I already apologized for it. After ALL THAT I finally brought my frustrations to the discord (which I now know is against the rules, won't happen again) and THEN I found out that apparently there was an event going on that I had ruined with my actions. An event that I was completely in the dark about, and I never even received IC orders to not go through with anything despite talking over comms about it repeatedly. Had someone just even LOOC'd me that the catgirls were protected during an event, I would've respectfully backed off, but I just assumed it was admins having a laugh and they weren't important, just random spawned in mobs for jokes. Like I said, no idea there was an event happening, I thought the attack EARLIER was the event and that had happened WELL before I arrived. Supposedly Aylen was ghosting during the events in xenobio, but never spoke up to prevent anything from happening. This isn't me trying to out them as a bad admin or anything, i'm just pointing out that they were supposedly there at the time. One LOOC, just one LOOC that 'those catgirls are part of an event' would've prevented everything.

Why you think you should be unbanned: I was left in the dark about an event, and I was already punished IC by the RD at the time. I was told that if Jesse continued her behavior like that, there would be consequences. We resolved the problem completely before admins even stepped in. This was all just a misunderstanding due to lack of communication between event coordinators and players, and now that I DO know it was an event I am sorry for interfering like I did. I would've never done anything like that had I seen an OOC notification anywhere or been told to stop my behavior IC or OOC, neither of which happened during that entire series of events. Jesse is actually recovering well via IC RP, and this was just me trying to goof us to lessen tension which backfired. Now I know I clearly need to be 100% serious all the time and never go out of my way to make things fun for myself or others, I'm sorry. That might sound sarcastic but I'm being serious. Dressing up in a clown outfit and slipping people I know were fine with it? Yelled at IC. Doing a silly dissection experiment and going over the top during something that was going to happen anyway? OOC [BANNED] for doing it. From here on out, I'll just play Jesse seriously. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, my own enjoyment, because there's folk in Research that enjoy having Jesse around and her being banned from Research stunts these interactions.

To conclude: Yes, I acted up TOO much in the end there with the fire, but I was going to dispose of the catgirls and reopen the cell for future use anyway. I asked security to dispose of them first, they didn't respond, I did it myself, that was wrong. The RD already reprimanded Jesse and she's on her LAST CHANCE to keep on good behavior which I'm planning on doing because I don't want to remove her from science like this. I'll play her as serious and boring as needed to ensure she can remain in science, just so I can have the interactions in there I've come to love so much. The comradery between scientists, interacting with her lover who works there, just relaxing and doing experiments...I LOVE that and don't want to see it ruined by something that was outside of my knowledge and control like this. In the future, I just ask that admins during events speak up more in LOOC to prevent things go haywire, like what happened during the recent predcurity event, but that's unrelated to my ban and I've spoken about it to admins via DMs already. Please message me on discord or here for any additional knowledge and I'll respond as soon as I can, I just want this fixed as quickly as possible so I can just return to doing what I enjoy doing on this server: roleplaying and having scenes with friends and other players alike. Like I said, the MAIN reason for the jobban was because of the flippant response when I asked you for your side of things. Since that's been resolved, I see no reason to not accept the appeal.

That being said, please, please... not asking you to play Jesse boring, but to have some REASON. Filling a room full of half-naked women with flammable gas and burning them alive, in front of your boss and security, all because the command staff and their minions were annoying you... that is not the best plan. That's some GTA5 decision making. >_<;

As I said in the discord, I'm not the only one who told them that the HoP's permission doesn't mean anything with an active RD around. Also they never even showed paperwork to back up their claim of being sent to research as a 'representative for the catgirls' so naturally we just assumed they were talking out their ass and needed to go so we could get back to our fun. Had they shown the paperwork when asked? Different story, I would've at least been skeptical but heard them out instead of just dismissing them as an annoyance. Plus I only said it after the RD themself said that the HoP doesn't matter with an RD around, I was basically just blindly backing up my superior.

I didn't do it out of annoyance, I did it because that's just what we do in xenobiology. If you have things around you don't need, you get rid of them, it just so happens that it's usually slimes and not catgirls. It doesn't matter who's there for what or even if anyone annoyed me, it was going to happen anyways to get the catgirls disposed of. Normally it'd just be a quick venting, then waiting for the room to clear up, then dragging their bodies out to stuff them in a locker and give 'em to the chef or anyone in science who wants them. Hell, the RD didn't even mind outside of the fact they wanted to do more with them before disposal. Everything Jesse does has a reason, even if that reason is silly (like the time she got the clown outfit and I spent a shift just clowning around. She did it because she just wanted to chill and have a laugh for once). Hell, people doing things for no reason is one of my biggest pet peeves, I'd never do that.

In the case of the burning that people seem to get so caught up on, yes that was over the top as I said and yes she did THAT as a fuck you to the annoying secretary. The catgirls were going to die no matter what. They were unnecessary and taking up a cell.

Before anyone drops a bomb about Jesse being a psycho/sociopath or something I had no idea until just recently that IC catgirls are an intelligent species, I've always assumed they were as dumb as a bucket of rocks and had the intelligence of a really simple animal. Had I known that at the time, no I wouldn't have treated them like a mere slime, I would've just moved them into the bigger pen to hold until transfer for 'central to do whatever they do with them'. Jesse is not some uncaring monster, she's just a scientist. She looked at them the same way the science department looks at a lab monkey, they're just...there to use during tests.
