Ban Appeal Forum Rules (READ BEFORE POSTING)

Grovel about why you should be unbanned. Be laughed at when your ban appeal is horrible.
(I'm obviously kidding. Sometimes admins have bad days too and we make mistakes. They're people too. Let's try to talk about it and come to an understanding.)

Byond account and character name:
Discord ID (if applicable):
Banning admin:
Ban type (What are you banned from?): EG; Job banned from HoP, banned from the whole server, banned off Discord, etc.
Ban reason given:
Ban length:
Approximate date that the ban was placed (including time zone):
Your side of the story:
Why you think you should be unbanned:

Job bans are sometimes broken and don't like us doing timed bans. If you get a permanent job ban, that doesn't mean it is actually permanent. We're sorry about this. Most job bans are a simple smack to get your attention.

Posts in the unban forum cannot be edited except by admins. This is deliberate. Try to get your thoughts straightened out before hitting Submit. If you get your format wrong, spell something wrong, or say something regrettable, we won't let you take it back.

Ban Forum rules:

 1. Make sure you have the correct server. Sometimes server owners are lazy and don't update the config files, so be certain that you were actually banned from Vorestation and not from another server who happens to be using our code. We're not affiliated with them. Vorestation will never appear on the Byond global server list.
 2. Global Forum rules still apply here.
 3. Failure to follow the format specified is automatic grounds for rejection. If you can't be bothered to follow simple directions, then we can't expect you to follow the rules either.
 4. You may not appeal for one week after your last appeal, regardless of the last appeal being accepted or not. In the case of a permanent ban, you cannot appeal for thirty days after your last appeal regardless of what it was for, unless allowed otherwise by the banning admin or a headmin.
 5. A permaban may only be appealed once per month unless allowed otherwise by the banning admin or a headmin. Subsequent appeals will be automatically rejected and deleted, and may result in a forum ban if repeated.
 6. You probably didn't read the server rules, so you should read those too now. Sometimes an appeal is as simple as admitting you fucked up and acknowledging it--especially for a first offense.
 7. If you are not an admin or directly involved with the appeal (You are the guy who was banned, you saw what happened, you were the victim, etc.) then do not post in the appeal. If you are directly involved and wish to have your interests represented, you must contact an admin to represent you in the appeal. Repetitive ignoring of this rule will get you banned off the forum.. This rule cannot be overruled even by executive decision.
 8. If the round has not ended when you wish to appeal, to not post any IC spoilers. We recommend waiting until the round actually ends before making an appeal, giving yourself time to cool off and make a calm, collected argument, but it's not a requirement. If you cannot appeal without revealing in-character events, but you absolutely must appeal, at least put them in spoiler tags.
 9. Use the template. Failure to use the template reasonably will result in automatic rejection.
 10. Don't abuse image macros, reaction images, memes, or other unrelated content anywhere in this forum. Any media posted should be screenshots or other evidence directly related to the thread. Failure to obey this will not result in rejection on its own, but could make your opinion harder to take seriously.
 11. Try to keep your appeal calm, concise, to the point, and properly formatted. No one likes to read a wall of text, or an angry ragey post. Permaban appeals are encouraged to be longer and more detailed than regular appeals, but remember to use proper formatting.
 12. If your thread is inactive, you may notify an admin to come look at it if it fills the following requirements. At least one day and at least half of the time for your ban has already passed, or at least a total of one week has passed since your ban (such as the case with a month ban or permanent ban).
 13. Withholding information deliberately in ahelps or in this forum is an excellent way to get ignored, or worse. It's effectively lying. When you say you were 'permabrigged for breaking one wall' and that one wall was the Armory's, then you've denied yourself way better than any of us could manage.
 14. Only the admin who banned you, a head admin, or the server host (Joan Risu), can approve unbans. Improperly removed bans may result in admin rights being suspended, and the re-banning of the person who was banned. Only the host and the head administrators can deny ban appeals, and can override decisions made by lower ranked admins.

If you were banned with the reason "Underaged" then you must also be prepared to PM me a photograph of yourself. Said photograph must contain a code word or phrase that I will give you (for example: "vore sex muffins" or something else that would be hard to fake without an older peer asking awkward questions), which is to be visible in the photo, written on a piece of paper. You must also provide some form of ID, be it a license, college ID, etc. You can always black out sensitive information besides your face and date of birth. I just need to prove you're 18 or older. If by some fluke you get underage banned twice, just link your first underage ban appeal to any admin and they will unban you immediately. No need to repeat the process.

Please remember, admins and players both can have bad days. We do stupid, regrettable, short-sighted things. Shit happens, and people sometimes get punished for the right or wrong reasons. At the very least, if you know you did wrong, owe up to your mistakes and you'll probably get unbanned if it's a first offense and as long as you don't do it again we'll all forget the event ever happened.
