Any former military personnel working on the station? USDF in my case. I used to fly transports. I miss flying...

For a few years. I already had close ties to a Chakatian-lead group, it was less "combat-ready" military and more of "search and rescue, disaster relief". My mother worked there as a medic, I enlisted the moment I could and pursued training in the medical sciences. We wouldn't go to war, but we'd be in the area to help the wounded, we mainly did disaster relief operations since wars were uncommon, never actually seen one. Plenty of small-scale conflicts, however. When a disaster strikes, looters are common and fights -even shootings- occur as a result.

And then they sent me here, to try to save you all from the disaster that is V.O.R.E. :p

But yeah, did that for a few years, went through medical school, now I'm here. Sometimes I miss it, we had a competent crew, everybody knew exactly what to do, we even had cool callsigns just because we thought it'd be a fun thing to do. But the job was generally more stressful. I would handle more patients in a day working there than I have seen in a week of working here at Virgo. Course... I still prep the Medbay like its Doomsday, but at least I'm prepared.

Do I count? I recently transferred from a USDF vessel as a doctor, but I have a lot of stories from different rimworlds.

No military, but I still work for the special police force back home, I believe the equivalent would be like the old old Earth, Ranger groups. The lawmen that were protecting what was it, America? during its younger stabilizing years.

Does that count?
