[suggestion] xenobio job type biosphere researcher

job information: biosphere researchers are techs hired to study the life forms of the virgo system. outside of working with standard issue NT slimes biosphere researchers are expected to spend most of their time working in a new research facility right outside of the main public airlock. said facility is the animal research station.

animal research station: this is a small station with 2 airlocks and an observation area, most of the facility including its 4 cages are open to the atmosphere of the planet though air pumps and shutters can be activated in an emergency.

the job: biosphere researchers are to trap and studdy the native lifeforms of the moon as well as other life forms brought in via cargo or other transports. to do this they have several tools and genetic sampling devices.

example of starting the job

researcher gets on station, gears up and heads out the airlock before heading to their exterior station and unlocking a locker with bait, a taser, and genetic scanners. from there they lead a mob into one of the cages using either the bait or themselves. and lock it in there. now they must fill the water in the cage and work on feeding the animal and making it docile so that they can get a DNA sample.

Once a DNA simple is gotten they may enter there small observation area to decontaminate and put the sample into an aniliser form here they have options. tag and release, cull, or breed the creature. for tag and release they simple put a tag on the animal the tells its location at all times and its vitals as well as putting information for if it reporduces or not. for cull they activate a turret and aim it at the creature and fire until dead, for breed tehy simply repeat the process for another creature of the same species and press a button to link the two cages (all 4 cages can be linked or cut off)

their job. is to improve, studdy and modify the creatures.

things the researcher can end up doing

making a gaslamp that is smaller and acts as a medical pod, healling anything inside of it (still absorbs if they struggle) make a guard lizard that is trained and can be handed off to secruity. kill a bunch of animals and break them down for resources for science, robotics and other departments. start breeding wildlife for meat for the kitchen and more.

dangers of the job: you are working on teh surface of the moon for most of the time, you will take toxin damage, you will never bee at 100%. you are constantly exposed to creatures that one wrong move and they may maul you(or eat if that is inabled).

Other things this job would be able to do.

1. order in live creatures from cargo or create new creatures using DNA and materials. from cookie girls to mimics, they can create it if they have the right DNA and the right items.

example of live creatures:

jubby bird: info an all female race of feral bird taur like creatures. these things are found on the main habitible planet of virgo. testing is to see if they can be a viable replacement for chicken as a meat source.(about the size of a small dog). warning they have been known to try and eat micros, so any micro running the biosphere should be careful

raptors: large creatures from another system, rumored to be a DNA revival experiment but not provent. these things are shipped to virgo via cargo, tied down and heavily sidated the only way to wake them is with a needle that comes with them.

catgirl ferals: at first they where thought to be just normal cat girls but DNA tests shows these are another race and purely feral in nature, do not bring into the biosphere research area, test in xenobio, they prefer mice and micros as a meal.
I think to much.

disclaimer: Unless I cuss, I am generally not meaning to be hostile.
