Actually security was very challenging to deal with that shift, and they indeed blocked the vault. They were watching Jarome like a hawk. Only reason they failed was because Jarome got a friend on the inside; Sarah. Sarah tipped Jarome off to security watching him, so he devised a new plan and cut her in on the profits.
