Citation needed for serious discussions!

Post stupid threads, fight about politics, discuss philosophy, laugh at dank memes, complain about Net Neutrality being violated (again), just talk about whatever silly or serious nonsense you want.
Forum rules
Some of this forum is silly, some is serious. Don't be that guy who comes in and derails a calm political discussion with a bunch of stupid memes, and don't be that guy who tries to make a serious discussion where one doesn't exist. Also, if you post something deemed inflammatory and offensive, we're going to remove it.

You're going to look pretty stupid if you're talking about something but you suck at providing sources for your claims. So don't do that. Always provide sources for serious discussions if what you claim is supposed to be factual and not just an opinion.

Example of a fact (These require sources!):
"The national debt is still rising." / "The national deficit is falling." (Source)

Example of an opinion (These don't require sources, but sources still help support your opinions.):
"We spend too much money on defense funding." / "We don't spend enough money on NASA."

Remember, the burden of proof lies on you. Telling people to "do your research" without providing material for them to read, or telling them to "Google it" is going to be considered trolling and I will ban you from using this part of the forum.
